Demanding race for Nakagami in Assen
IDEMITSU Honda LCR rider Takaaki Nakagami crossed the line 16th on Sunday at Assen.
After yesterday’s Sprint, Japanese Nakagami and the crew knew that controlling tyre wear would be one of the critical points for today’s race due to the track conditions. Nakagami did a solid job recovering several positions from the 23rd spot on the grid as he fought for the points, handled the situation without making mistakes, and finally classified 16th.

“Today’s race was hard, I couldn’t push the way I wanted. We are struggling. I tried to fight for the points and almost reached that goal. We’ll see if we can improve next week at the Sachsenring”.
