NAKAGAMI TARGETS MORE BIG POINTS IN TEXAS

Takaaki Nakagami will look to maintain his impressive start to the 2019 MotoGP calendar after successive top-10 finishes in the opening two races of the season. The LCR Honda IDEMITSU rider followed his ninth place in Qatar with a strong ride for seventh position in Argentina last time out. With his confidence growing every week, the Japanese star is now targeting further improvement at the Circuit of the Americas in Texas – a venue he feels should favour the Honda contingent.

“So we improved our results from Qatar to Argentina and the team has really worked hard to make a step forward. I’m really confident in both the bike and the team and I’m really looking forward to racing here in Texas. I think this track is good for us, our strongest point is hard braking and the layout here is Texas is stop and go, so it looks good for us. We’ll keep working hard and we know we are heading in the right direction, so hopefully we can have another good weekend.”
