TAKA ON THE FRONT ROW AGAIN IN VALENCIA

Takaaki Nakagami secured his 3rd consecutive front row start in qualifying for Sunday’s Valencia Grand Prix. Just as he did at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo last weekend, the LCR Honda IDEMITSU rider claimed 3rd place in Q2.

With some rain making life more difficult for the riders, Nakagami claimed 6th place in FP3, although he was unable to improve his time from Friday. The Japanese star then showed encouraging race pace by taking 2nd in FP4 and ensured he would be well-placed to make use of it as he grabbed third late on in Q2 with his penultimate lap.
